Assistance
Caseworker
Hours: Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri.,8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and
Wed., 8:30 a.m. –
noon (by appointment). General
Assistance is provided to qualified needy Township residents in order to help
meet daily expenses. Applications to determine eligibility for assistance are administered by Linda Blatnik, Township
Social Worker. Information may be obtained through her direct line (847) 816-5989.
Food Pantry
Tuesdays, 10:00
a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Libertyville Township
provides a Food Pantry for the needy of the Township. Proof of residency
is required upon your first visit to the pantry. Those in need of food
are welcome to use the Pantry service twice a month. Community residents,
through local churches, schools, companies and organizations generously
donate food to the pantry. In the summer months,
organizations such as “Plant a Row for the Hungry” have donated fresh
produce.
Volunteer workers and donations of
nonperishable foods are always appreciated. We request that you schedule ahead with
the Township if your organization is planning a food collection so we can coordinate pickup by Township personnel. Monetary tax deductible
donations (payable to the Libertyville Township Food Pantry) are used to
purchase food through our partnership with the Northern Illinois Food
Bank at greatly reduced prices.

Community Emergency Fund
Libertyville Township has a Community Emergency
Fund and welcomes
your tax deductible donation, payable to the Libertyville Township Community Emergency Fund. This fund is administered by the Township Supervisor
and is used to assist those with immediate needs who may not otherwise
qualify for assistance. Your donation to this fund is tax deductible.
Meeting Room
Available after
normal business hours and on weekends
The
meeting room in the Township Office is available to Township residents
after regular business hours, as well as to government agencies
at any time. The
room can accommodate up to 75 seated individuals. Advance
reservations are required along with a $15 fee. The fee is used to
augment the Community Emergency Fund.
